實在不知道要怎麼翻這個英文片名? 所以不翻了~ Bang Bang是指槍戰的聲音. 這部電影描述的是真人真事, 四位年紀約三十歲的攝影記者Kevin Carter, Greg Marinovich, Joao Silva, and Ken Oosterbroek於1990-1994年期間, 在南非採訪當地政亂暴動的過程. 其中兩位攝影記者Greg and Kevin為此獲頒了普立茲獎及多項國際獎. 可悲的是, 這群採訪小組俱樂部成員有二人都身亡.. 一人(Kevin)因看多了非洲的貧困與血腥, 個人生活不順與財務問題而自殺; 另一位Ken則是被國際和平組織的人誤射死亡. 下面這段是自殺攝影記者的部份遺書 -
"I am depressed... without phone... money for rent... money for child support... money for debts... money!!! ... I am haunted by the vivid memories of killings and corpses and anger and pain... of starving or wounded children, of trigger-happy madmen, often police, of killer executioners... I have gone to join Ken [recently deceased colleague Ken Oosterbroek] if I am that lucky."
自殺的這位就是在將近二十年前轟動一時的攝影記者, 拍攝有關蘇丹南部許多非洲兒童因饑餓死亡. 饑餓三十的活動就是經由這些照片傳送而發起的.
